The Voice and Vision Behind the Music
Myles N. Lanier is a tenor, composer/arranger, and music educator from Northern Virginia. He studies Choral Music Education at Virginia State University, and serves in several leadership roles. He has supported the development of elementary, middle and high school choirs across central and northern Virginia, through teaching and conducting roles. An accomplished vocalist, Lanier has placed at the Virginia and Mid‑Atlantic NATS competitions and qualified for the national level, specializing in African‑American spirituals and classical repertoire. His growing catalog as a composer includes accessible and advanced works for mixed, treble, and basso choirs, art songs, and arrangements across sacred, gospel, contemporary, and classical, and world music styles.
